A letter from a reader concerning a recent to-do with Portland Lumberjax, Rochester Rattler and soon to be Reebok commercial (more on that soon) star Brodie Merrill:

“Thought since there has been so much excitement surrounding Brodie Merrill you guys might enjoy seeing a kinder, gentler Brodie!
This past November, past Georgetown teammates Matt Wilson and Brodie Merrill reunited. This time they were face to face, at least their perspective teams were. Brodie brought his team, The Hill School from Ontario to scrimmage Western Reserve Academy in Hudson Ohio. After a clinic that both teams participated in, there was friendly competition between two well coached teams.
This picture is of Trey Greissing (younger brother of Connor Greissing, Notre Dame ’08 recruit) and Brodie, a dream come true for this little guy, who had just received his IL issue that month where Brodie had the full page centerfold. That picture and this autographed ball are proudly displayed in his room! (Matt Wilson’s younger brother Colby is an ’08 recruit for Georgetown).”

Good to see old teammates working together for the development of the game. Expect Brodie’s schedule to gear up soon with the NLL season quickly approaching, and look for more info on Brodie’s work with the Hill Academy, an interesting sports school out of Canada, in an upcoming issue of Inside Lacrosse.
