Gearing Up
It’s incredibly difficult to follow up on some of the posts over the last week, especially after reading the Brodie Merrill blog that sent chills up my spine. Mini Mac, if you are reading this, I want you to know that your teammates past and present truly feel that you have taken the depth of being a good teammate to another level. I spoke with Brad last week, and he told me that if his nipple stops bleeding he would probably keep his new accessory … I can’t stop laughing.
On a different note, I’ve signed with Philly and couldn’t be happier to have another opportunity to play in front of the best fans in the NLL. It’s an incredible feeling being announced in the Wachovia Center in front of our crowd. I can’t wait until our home opener.  I’ll be joining the team at practice on January 5th and over numerous conversations with the coaching staff, management, ownership, and different guys on the squad, it is very easy to tell that the excitement level is high. Everyone is eager to get after it.Â
I’m obviously pumped to be playing on a team with my boy T Wray. He is truly one of my best friends, and I’m totally looking forward to getting to spend some more time with him along with suiting up and going to war every weekend. I’m also really excited to get a look at the new guys on the team, Taylor Wray, Blazer, and Crosbie are huge additions which make us instantly better. Their careers and accomplishments speak for themselves, and the leadership and experience they bring to the team is invaluable. It will be great to see the new young guys as well. I’ve heard nothing but glowing reports about the athleticism and level of play already coming out of our draft picks. All of the new additions along with the great group athletes and personalities that are in place make for a unbelievable combination. I really can’t wait to suit up with what looks to be one of the most talented groups that I’ve ever had the opportunity to play with.
I’m looking forward to seeing Colorado and Calgary kick the *&%$ out of each other next week. That opening game will definitely set the tone for the entire NLL season.
I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Holiday. Enjoy the time with your families, because it’s going to be a busy winter.Â
Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.
