Superheroes have heroes too

As goalie Dallas Eliuk is making saves for the Portland Lumberjax during games, off the floor he’s keeping track of one of the greatest superheroes of all time.

He tells the Portland Tribune that his first word as a baby was “Batman” and today, the 43-year-old has just as much passion as ever for Batman. His house is decorated with Batman animation cells on the walls in addition to boxes and boxes of action figures, statues and toys, and a comic book collection (including some Spiderman) that numbers close to 800.

Lest you think it stops there, consider: Eliuk and new bride Daria O’Neill tied the knot on New Year’s Eve, but they’re planning to host a Batman-themed marriage celebration later this year.  And yes, guests will register on the Batcomputer.
