Hawk Talk Radio, by the fans, for the fans

Krew
No offense to CP and his Sirius radio show, but if you want to hear a lacrosse show for free on the world wide web, Hawk Talk is back.
Eric “Gonzo” Driscoll and I re-ignited Hawk Talk last night from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at www.areyoukrew.net .  This is the only radio show put on by fans, for the fans. The shows run every Thursday night throughout the NLL season. Of course the coverage is primarily about the Knighthawks and Rochester lacrosse, but we give our predictions of the NLL action and talk about the hot button issues as well around the league.
We started Hawk Talk with Gonzo and Knabber humbly about 6 years ago and have been everywhere from Gonzo’s home office to WITR on the RIT campus to doing “LIVE” remotes from post-game parties. This season though, we have found a new venue, Studio 31F in Fairport, N.Y., that brings us back up to almost the quality program we ran at WITR. Unfortunately, we can’t take LIVE callers, but we are doing LIVE interviews each week with Coach Ed Comeau and a special player or other league personnel.

If you missed last night’s show, no worries, we will have it archived in the near future for you to listen to at your leisure. We are also working on Podcasting the shows as well, all progress in good time. Last night, we had “From the Bench” with Coach Comeau as well as our captain, Regy Thorpe, for the first time ever. Every home game week, we have a trivia contest with a pair of tickets to the next Knighthawks home game available.Â
We are sponsored this year by Lacrosse Unlimited in Pittsford, Jimmy Mac’s in High Falls, Rochester Knightingales, Rochester Knighthawks and of course the Knighthawks Krew.
If you have a question that you want us to ask Coach Comeau or our special guest each week, listeners can write the show at hawktalk@rochester.rr.com . At our peak two years ago, before helping with “Rip It Up” last season, Hawk Talk was heard in 13 countries with the United States, Canada and New Zealand being the top three countries listening.
Enjoy, and as always, this is your show. So if you want to hear us interview someone, let us know and we’ll try to get them on.
