Week 5

Its time for a shakeup. For the first few weeks of the season, the scoring leaders and standings have little relevance, especially when some teams have played once and some teams 3 times. So when I’m doing a game on TV early in the season I would generally talk about last year’s numbers for the players and teams. However there comes a time when we move on. Last year is history and we’re talking about 2008. That time is now.

While I won’t ignore Rochester’s 14-2 record last year they no longer deserve to be on the perch atop the power rankings. No more resting on your reputation. Check out the new Power Rankings.

1 (2)	Colorado Mammoth 4-0-0 They don’t look dominant but usually find a way to win.
2 (4)	Philadelphia Wings 3-0-0 They are good, and after wins against Rochester and Buffalo, they are starting to believe.
3 (7)	Minnesota Swarm 3-0-0 Consistently underrated team makes a statement with win in Rochester.
4 (1)	Rochester Knighthawks 1-3-0 Can’t find their groove.
5 (3)	Buffalo Bandits 2-2-0 Still among the best.
6 (6)	Calgary Roughnecks 2-2-0 Two impressive victories this weekend.
7 (5)	San Jose Stealth 1-2-0 Tough weekend with losses to Calgary and Colorado.
8 (8)	Toronto Rock 3-2-0 Looked awful and great all in one game.
9 (9)	New York Titans 1-2-0 Much better than last year, but won’t make playoffs in tough east division.
10 (12)	Chicago Shamrox 1-2-0 First win this weekend.
11 (10)	Edmonton Rush 0-3-0 Confidence must be waning.
12 (11)	Portland Lumberjax 0-3-0 No match for Calgary after tough OT loss to Colorado.
