Dance Team Pick’ems: Week 6
Hazzah. Dance team picks are back this wee as the members build on their impressive leads. Our ladies had an average of 5-3 last week, with Minnesota’s victory over Rochester the big monkey wrench of the week. Allison continues her impressive streak after sticking with her Swarm. She sit with the best average with a combined 14-6 record.
This weekend, there’s just a handful of game to choose from, including two involving San Jose. Lets see what our dance team members have to say.

With the same record of 1 win to 2 loses, I think NY will pull it together this weekend to beat San Jose. Portland and Edmonton are both looking to add at least one win to their three losses each. I think Portland is going to take it, capitalizing on Edmonton’s lack of consistency through an entire game. Lastly, I think Minnesota is going to keep their winning streak going and win against San Jose. Record: 13-7

Another big weekend in the NLL. Portland could use a big win. Record: 9-11

A big game at the Garden on Thursday – It’s the Titans home opener and our first time performing this season. We can’t wait, it’s going to be HOT! I know the guys will pull out a win at home. Record: 6-5

Fight to the finish guys! Good luck this week! Record: 11-8

I think they have a much quicker and experienced defense than do the Stealth and also have more depth at their disposal when it comes to offense. The Swarm are hot right now coming off a road victory against the defending champions the Knighthawks and I think they’ll continue their unbeaten streak and improve to 4-0. Record: 7-5

MN is coming off of a huge win and they are ready to make it 4-0! POR and EDM—well let’s just say both teams are looking for their first win of the season so this should be a great game and I pick EDM for the win. Go SWARM! Record: 14-6

NY has yet to play a home game and will attempt to bring their record to .500 this Thursday. Standout Casey Powell is sure to cause mayhem at the Garden. Despite San Jose’s Cosmo who is the #8 goalie at the moment with a save percentage of 77.4, the Titans will overpower the Stealth in this matchup. Portland and Edmonton should be an interesting game, with each team lacking any wins this season thus far. My pick is Edmonton with the home field advantage; although Portland has a 65% score on power plays. This is definitey a tough game to call! As for Minnesota v. San Jose…. Minnesota will dominate from the first quarter until the end in a huge win. Record: 14-7
Dana
Calgary Drill Crew
Minnesota has started off this season as one of the leaders in the East, so think it will be a win again SJ. Also, I think its time for Portland to get some points on the board. Record: 11-9
