Stealth makes a Bold move in win

Responsibilities at work kept Anthony Cosmo from joining his team on time, so the San Jose Stealth turned to backup goalie Aaron Bold for Thursday night’s game against the New York Titans.

It’s not as bad as it sounds.

Bold was a wall, making 46 saves to anchor a stout defensive effort as the offense put itself back on track in the Stealth’s  12-7 win over the Titans at Madison Square Garden.

“Aaron Bold was outstanding,” San Jose coach Walt Christianson told SJStealth.com. “It’s the best game I’ve seen him play.”

Amazing stat of the game? Of the seven goals Bold allowed, five were on the power play. Two of those came from Brendan Mundorf in his return to the team, and another Titans goal came on a penalty shot by Casey Powell in the second quarter.
