Dance Team Pick’ems: Week 9

Rock Dance

Well, finally, Minnesota failed our dance team pick’em members. The team fell to Buffalo, and every participant lost at least one game because of that. So the Swarm aren’t so lucky afterall then. Week 8 wasn’t a good week overall for most of the dancers, with 2-4 and 3-3 records abounding. Allison from the Swarm Performance Team and Emily from the Philadelphia Wings are tied at 24-12 records, but others are pressing including Dana from the Calgary Dance team. A big weekend is up with six games. The choice pick? Colorado with the win over Calgary Sunday Night. Now, one to the picks:

Philadelphia Wings Angels
The Philadelphia/Minnesota game should be a good match up this week but I think Philly will continue their winning streak and beat Minnesota at their home game. New York’s Jordon Hall has been named Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, and I think he will lead the Titans in a win. With Buffalo’s loss of starting goalie Mike Thompson and now with back-up goalie, Ken Montour, injuried, I think Chicago will take advantage of their weakened state and add a win to their record this weekend. Record: 24-12

Sometimes it’s a crap shoot….quite a few of this week’s games could go either way. Colorado and Minnesota are all still going strong and looking for wins after “upsets”. Chicago needs to play tough to win against Buffalo. GO ROX!!! Record: 18-18

Though the Colorado Mammoth had a tough loss to Philadelphia last weekend, they are coming back this week stonger and better than ever. Fight until the end guys everyone still has faith that you can take it all! Good Luck and kick some butt!!! Record: 20-15

Philly is coming off a big 4th quarter rally to beat the Mammoth in Colorado and stay perfect on the season. Rochester’s coming off a commanding win over Toronto and seem to be back on track. Colorado gets back to business after letting one slip at home last week. Record: 14-11

What can I say…the Swarm finally saw their first loss of the season last week–but that doesn’t stop my vote for them this week. I’m also taking EDM for their first win of the season. Record: 24-12
