NLL: On your tube and radio

We do our best to keep you up to date on what National Lacrosse League games are gonna be on the tube over the weekend. The league’s been a big help with that, and this weekend’s no exception. It’s not like there’s anything else worth watching, right?
Huh? NCAAs? Come on. A wise old coach told me once it’s better to have played lacrosse and lost than to have played basketball. That was back in 1987 when I was sportin’ a mullet and my JAMS shorts. The mullet and the shorts may be outdated, but the wisdom is not.
Get your TV watchin’ on early with the 3 p.m. game between the San Jose Stealth and the Calgary Roughnecks. You’ll find it on Comcast SportsNet West, which can be seen across the U.S. on the Dish Network (Ch. 409) and DirecTV (Ch. 656). Later Saturday, the Chicago Shamrox and Rochester Knighthawks are on local cable in Rochester, Time Warner’s Ch. 26 at 7:35 p.m.
Before all that, however, you gotta check out tonight’s “Inside the NLL with Casey Powell” show on SIRIUS (Ch. 130) at 6:30 p.m. The show, which includes Jordan Hall of the Titans, Jeff Shattler of the Roughnecks and NLLInsider.com’s very own Lauren Ward, is the preview to the Edmonton-Toronto tilt, which gets started at 7:30 p.m.
