Introducing the Rob Van Beek blog
Editor’s note: I can’t figure out how to put this up in Rob’s name just yet as the internet is a cruel and confusing mistress, but you can go ahead and trust me that this is straight out of the mind and email of Rob Van Beek

So how are you supposed to start these things? If any of you out there have any ideas, let me know. I guess this is going to be the first of many if it goes well but we will let you guys be the judge of that.
So what is a blog? I know what a blob is. That movie sucked! NLLinsider just told me to write something that was about 400-500 words and it could be about what ever I want it to be. Haha, suckers. It could be interesting though. I thought it was cool being given the chance to have something you’ve written be seen and read by thousands of people. By the way I am at word 101 haha so I have 299 more to go. Now do I count the “haha so I have” in the 299 left or subtract it? Oh well, just killed another 20 words.
Back to the matter at hand, the BLOG. I think we are working on a good base right now for our relationship. I do warn you guys I have been told before I should not be in a relationship, and unfortunately the girls always seem to be right. They tell me I am a great guy and the best boyfriend they have ever had, but that they want me to call them when I stop playing lax and settle down. I have yet to find a girl that can just understand that I love them, but baby, I love my lax and we all know what comes first. So I guess when you look at it my girlfriend is lax and the girls are my mistresses. Anyways that’s not where I wanted to go with that but it is all part of the process of getting to know one another I guess. How many words am I at now? I don’t have a word counter on this email program I am writing from so I did the first count by hand. I would guess 250 but who’s counting?
We have another big game this weekend against the NY Titans. It was a good match last time we played; there were a few fights and some big goals. I think it was close most of the game and then we took off in the fourth, so the score may not show how the game was played out.
Been keeping busy here in Philly. Nooch and I moved here this season from the west coast of Canada, (Nooch being Athan Iannucci, I think he may be doing this blogging thing as well but I’m not sure). Last week Nooch and I spent the day at the Philadelphia Fire and Police academy. It was really sweet, all the guys there were super nice and put us through some drills and simulations. They even let us fire some guns at the range which rocked. I have never fired a hand gun before!
Well I don’t want this to be a quickie, especially since it’s our first time but I have to run, unfortunately. I hope this finds you all well and I look forward to talking with you guys more this season. Peace.
