NLL Friday action: Toronto Rock top Edmonton Rush 14-9

The second quarter was the story at the Air Canada Centre Friday night, as the Rock outscored the Rush 7-1 to take a stranglehold lead and pave the way for their sixth win of the season, a 14-9 finish over the Edmonton Rush.
Aaron Wilson led the Rock with four goals, two of which came in the decisive second quarter. Wilson also had one helper on a goal from Matt Taylor who, in his first game of the season, compiled four points with three goals and one assist. In addition to making 43 saves on 52 shots, Bob Watson also launched a pass to Rob Marshall for a big shorthanded tally. Marshall scooped a game-high 12 looseballs.
The Edmonton Rush struggled with their transition game but got good individual efforts from Mike Accursi with one goal and three assists, and Chris Gill with two and one. With the loss the Rush fall to 2-7 on the season
The Toronto Rock are back in action tonight at the HSBC Arena, taking on the surging Buffalo Bandits.
