San Jose Stealth top a close one

Not gonna lie, things got a little wacky in the National Lacrosse League Saturday with three teams pulling off arguable upsets and the San Jose Stealth scoring with five seconds left to down the Calgary Roughnecks 13-12. With the win the Stealth move back into a tie for first in the west with the Colorado Mammoth, while the Calgary Roughnecks have now slipped into fourth place behind the Portland Jax.
It was Colin Doyle with the winner, scoring his fourth of the game. Doyle also added five assists to lead the Stealth with nine points. Prior to the final Doyle goal, the Stealth had scored three goals in two minutes to climb back from a 12-9 deficit. Aaron Bold played 23 minutes in relief of Anthony Cosmo, making 26 stops on 28 shots to earn the win. Jeff Zywicki and Luke Wiles each added seven points.
Prior to taking the lead in the third quarter, Calgary had battled back from being down 6-1 in the second. The Roughnecks were led by Lewis Ratcliff with three goals and three assists, and Scott Ranger with two and two. Pat Campbell was given the start over the recently-returned Steve Dietrich.
