Busy trading day for NLL

Like little doggies on the ranch, we’re gonna bring all of today’s National Lacrosse League trades into one neat little corral for your convenience. So take a look to see how your boys were affected and see if your lineup’s gonna have some new faces.

It wasn’t as hectic as we may have expected, but a couple of goalies traded homes, a couple of forwards moved and a few draft picks were picked up as teams look ahead, especially to what’s thought to be a pretty strong 2009 draft.

At first glance, though, it looks like the Accursi-Teat trade’s one of the biggest deals to go down. As our Paul Tutka first reported, Mike Accursi is heading back to the Buffalo Bandits for Dan Teat and a few draft picks. Edmonton coach Bob Hamley’s been a busy fella, for sure, racking up draft picks ever since he was hired by the Edmonton franchise. The Rush now have a pair of first rounders and second rounders in the next two drafts in addition to the regular picks.

Also Tuesday:

We don’t toot our own horn too often, but let’s give some props to Tutka. Dude’s dedication to the game we love and his tireless work to stay in step with all that’s going on enabled him to bring us news of these deals on a minute-by-minute basis. Nice job, fella. I don’t care what Ted Jenner says about ya.
