Future NLL star in the Card?

There’s a bright future in the Card. That’s the talk making the rounds up north whenever the discussion turns toward future lacrosse greatness. National Lacrosse League fans would be wise to keep in mind the name Jay Card, ’cause dude’s a player.

He’s at Hofstra now and the team’s second-leading scorer notched the overtime winner against Johns Hopkins not too long ago. The point of all this? You’re getting a chance to drop a question on the kid from Caledon, Ontario. He’s gonna be the subject of Inside Lacrosse’s Fan Zone, so think of a Q and click here to see where you can get your question submitted. Deadline’s in April 13, so don’t delay.

Card’s been making a name for himself on the midget circuit in Ontario and expectations are even greater for him this summer, where he’s expected to balance time between the Junior loop in Orangeville as well as Canada’s U19 national field team. In the box, he’s regarded as a legit offensive talent who did some schooling at The Hill Academy, which is run by Portland LumberJax star Brodie Merrill and his family. Instruction doesn’t get any better than that, does it?
