Six Nations Arrows’ Cody Jamieson named Aboriginal athlete of the year

Following in former teammate Sid Smith’s footsteps, Cody Jamieson has become the second consecutive Six Nations Arrows player to receive the Tom Longboat Award as the Canadian Aboriginal athlete of the year for 2007.
Jamieson, who will play his final season of Junior A this year, helped lead the Arrows to last year’s Minto Cup win and is a big reason the Arrows are widely considered the favourites to repeat. In addition to his Junior A success, Jamieson has spent the last couple of years leading Onondoga Community College to two undefeated seasons and two national championships.
Next year will find Jamieson joining Smith at Syracuse University.
