The latest big game of the NLL

This time I mean it for real.

This Saturday’s game against the Knighthawks is the BIGGEST GAME IN TITANS HISTORY!

I have been saying it the last few weeks, and I wasn’t lying those other times but the National Lacrosse League’s East division is so close that at 9-6 we still have not clinched a playoff spot heading into the last weekend of play.

Two huge wins this past weekend as we took down Chicago at MSG by a score of 14-7 and then traveled to Philly in front of an announced crowd of more than 17,000 and beat the Wings 11-8. The defense deserves some serious pats on the back letting up only 15 goals in both games combined. Matt Vinc (Vino) and the boys were SOLID!

The Titans continue to win by playing team-first lacrosse but I also can’t talk about the two wins and not mention one of the most underrated players in the National Lacrosse League: Pat Maddalena. Pat picked a great time to put up crazy points as he had 9 points against Chicago and 10 more in Philly. 19 points in a weekend when we needed to win both is about as big as it gets. This guy has racked up over 500 career points and still isn’t on a lot of people’s radar.

Enough with the history lesson, at this point all that matters is Saturday night. Win and we are in, that’s all that matters. I mean, does it get bigger than this for the sport of professional lacrosse?

It’s an 8 p.m. face-off at Madison Square Garden for a playoff spot against the defending National Lacrosse League champs. BE THERE!
