It’s the NLL Girl of the Week Contest, Round 2: Nikki vs. Crystal

We’re at a point in this here contest where we’ve actually caught up with the National Lacrosse League’s Girl of the Week. So what we’re gonna do is take a temprorary timeout from the first-round matches and get some second-round matches outta the way.

Unconventional? You bet, but we’re thinkin’ it’s better to do it this way than wait another two weeks for two more girls to be named. Don’t worry, nerds. We’ve got our brackets all set up so we can keep track of what’s goin’ on and hopefully, we’ll have a bracket posted soon enough so you can track the progress yourself. We were gonna get this second-round posted Tuesday, but then realized that a lot of you Pennsylvania people were gettin’ your vote on in another ballot box, naming Hillary your Girl of the Week in some race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Last week, Toronto’s Sabrina edged Rochester’s Danielle in a fairly close vote. Voter turnout was disappointing, to say the least. We’re gonna blame the weather, ’cause it certainly can’t be apathy. So what do we have this week? Well, we’re reaching way back to Weeks 1 and 4 to pit Chicago’s Nikki against New York’s Crystal.

So take a look to remind yourselves of why you voted for Nikki or Crystal the first time around and then decide who is worthy of your vote this time around. We shouldn’t have to remind you how important your vote is, and that every vote counts! It’s vital to the direction of this country. Right? Depends on who ya ask, we guess.

At the time Nikki was in our first matchup, the Shamrox on the floor weren’t exactly as hot as the dancers. The boys still aren’t going to the playoffs, but they did manage to make a nice little run with some surprising victories and rest assured, Nikki and her cohorts were cheering every minute of it.

Nikki’s still got Hooter’s server listed as an occupation and a quick look her pics will explain her resume. That’s not tough to figure out. She won her first-round match with relative ease and since then, she’s posted some new pics for us to judge on her NLL profile page. In one, it’s pretty sweet. She’s sportin’ some camo and flexin’ her guns. How hot can that NOT be? There’s another one of her sportin’ some plaid skirt with friends, givin’ us that Catholic girl look and with the Pope barely out of America for his visit, I’m gonna stop right there. Just wouldn’t be right.

So I’m just gonna leave it at that. Take a look at her pictures, read some of the stuff on her profile and then pull the figurative lever. On the voting machine, you perv.

Speaking of the Pope, remember Crystal? Not that you have anything to confess, but Crystal told us she’s a Sunday School teacher. Nice. Who’s hot for teacher? I’ve got that drum line from the Van Halen song runnin’ through my mind now. Not a bad song to be stuck with.

The coolest thing about Crystal’s first-round win is that she actually posted in WingsZone to prop herself. Seems she’s got a good sense of humor, and promotion, so hopefully she’ll get wind of this second-round gig and make another appearance. Lord knows she’s got plenty to be happy about these days. The Titans are playing just as well as any team in the league and with a big game this weekend against the Knighthawks, you just know that she and her fellow dancers are amped.

Big credit to Crystal, too, for being a regular blogger on her NLL profile page. She might just be the only NLL girl to keep us regularly updated, so it’s nice to see that. She didn’t have anything to say about her first-round victory, but the comments section of her page is alive and jumpin’ with admirers, so let’s see what her second-round matchup brings.
