NLL Girl of the Week, Round 2: It’s Caelee vs. Elizabeth
So the San Jose Stealth are done, but the Spy Girls are not. That’s thanks to Megan, who got a solid show of support in her second-round matchup this past week.

Megan cruised to an easy 115-70 victory over Toronto’s Chantal to give us the left side of our Final Four bracket in our National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week contest. Her opponent in two weeks? Crystal of the New York Titans. Megan’s now waltzed her way into a pair of comfortable victories to reach the semifinal round, and it’s pretty easy to see why. But, it’s time to move on and this week, we’ve got Edmonton’s Caelee up against Elizabeth of Philadelphia. It’s another blonde vs. brunette, East vs. West matchup, so the rivalry is a natural one.
So it’s time to get your vote on again, fellow Americans. Do it with pride as you survey all the qualifications of this week’s candidates. Don’t let the mud-slinging campaigns get in your way of making a clear, informed and educated selection. After all, voting is just one of our duties as Americans. Right? Yup … that’s my answer too.
Caelee’s the third-year Rush dancer who comes to us via Saskatoon and even after all these weeks since we first learned that, Saskatoon still rolls off the tongue as one of those “cool” town names.

Caelee’s presence in Saskatoon does indeed help upgrade the cool factor of the town itself, not that we have first-hand knowledge of the place. But it can’t be all that bad, eh? Perhaps some of you voters can create a thread over at WingsZone to fill us in on what to do — and NOT do — in Saskatoon. To us, it sounds like a very cool place for a hunting expedition and a place where your cell phone reception will be challenged. But unless it’s Caelee who happens to be calling, do we really want to answer that telephone? We won’t answer that for you. Check out what you can see on her NLL profile page and you decide.
And just what makes think she has time to call? Well, since the Rush aren’t part of the post-season party in the National Lacrosse League, we figure her work as an administrative assistant with the team isn’t as busy as it was back during the All-Star weekend. Then again, Caelee may have all the time in the world to call, but getting her to call chumps like us is a whole new ballgame.
It’s a good thing Elizabeth won her first-round matchup. She notes that one of her pet peeves is mean people and when it’s that way, we don’t like to leave things open to interpretation.

This first-year dancer for the Wings doesn’t have much to dance about these days after the Wings were eliminated from the Champion’s Cup tournament this weekend in Buffalo. As far as we know, however, she can still sing in the shower and roll her tongue, two self-admitted feats that’s sure to raise some eyebrows around these parts. Especially after viewing her little video clip on her Wings page. And it’s not that we encourage imaginations to run wild with things like showers and tongue rolling. We’re just stating facts. As provided by Elizabeth herself. Did we hear anyone complaining? Didn’t think so. Besides, if you wanna put your imagination to use, go to Elizabeth’s NLL profile page and figure out what those things are on her back.
In her first-round matchup, Elizabeth was part of the biggest voter turnout in this season-long contest. More than 1,400 of you voted! Can this feat be repeated? We won’t know until later this week, when the voting closes on Sunday at midnight. Do ya really wanna take a chance on being perceived as a mean person, though? Didn’t think so. Vote today. Vote now.
