Swarm up for sale but staying in Minnesota

It was briefly rumoured and quickly dismissed, but it looks like Minnesota Wild owner Craig Leipold has signed a letter of intent to sell the Swarm to his close friend John Arlotta.
Leipold’s reported reason for selling is that his group’s focus is on hockey, and he wants someone to be as involved with the Swarm as he is with the Wild.
Arlotta is described as a lacrosse enthusiast and his purchase of the Swarm will be his second financial foray into the sport, only this time he’ll presumably be looking to make a profit. Arlotta last year provided the University of Notre Dame with a gift large enough to not only build a new lacrosse stadium, but have it named after him.
Fortunately for the ever-increasing number of Swarm faithful, Leipold has pledged that Arlotta will be required to keep the team where it is for the foreseeable future.
“There are no plans to move the team,” Leipold said. “He’s required to keep it here for another four or five years. The team is going nowhere.”
