Maybe the St. Catharines Standard wasn’t so far off when they mistakenly identified the Akwesasne Indians as the Awesome Indians last week. With their 13-7 win over the Tomahawks they move to 4-1-1 on the season.

The Indians got the early jump on the Tomahawks, going up 7-3 in the first period and later increasing their lead by two in the third. Miles Thompson, Justin Oakes, Peter Jacobs and Kyle Buchanan popped in two goals apiece, while Jeremy Thompson had one goal and four helpers to lead the team in points. Joe Tallis made 28 saves.

Mike Dawson, Mark Whittaker, Dan McIsaac and Simon De Sousa had three points each for Mississauga.
