Monday night in Ontario

Thanks to a pair of goals in the first period from Kevin Brownell and one each from Jordan MacIntosh and Tommy Hurley, the Burlington Chiefs got an early lead and never let it go, defeating the Whitby Warriors 10-6 in front of the home crowd.
Brownell, MacIntosh, Justin Wilson-Kirby, Tyler Midwinter, Ryan Learn and Kyle Matisz each contributed three points to the win while transition threat Cameron Mann had two helpers in his first game back with the Burlington Chiefs. Gary Muzzin earned the win in net. For the Warriors, Mark Matthews had three goals and two assists.
In other Ontario Junior A action, the St. Catharines Athletics buried the Toronto Beaches 17-4. For the A’s, Andrew Potter pumped in five goals, Joel McCready had three, Dan Williams had two goals and four assists, and Bryan Neufeld and one and four. Zack Boychuk put in a strong performance in net. Daniel De La Casa, Cade Zulak, Stephen Keogh and James Neville scored for the Beaches.
