At long last, here we are: The championship matchup of our National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week contest and now we’ve got some new pics for you to stare at.

And who are the finalists? We knew Crystal already was in the final, and her opponent is none other than Chicago’s Ashley, who easily outpaced Philadelphia’s Elizabeth by a vote count of 932-499 for the victory. That’s a pretty impressive vote total, which tells us that even though the playing days are finished for the 2008 season, the fans are still into anything and everything that is National Lacrosse League. That’s the kinda spirit we dig here at NLLInsider.com and on behalf of all the participants through the 2 or 3 months of this contest, thanks for your participation as voters. It’s good to know ya’ll are paying attention to the real issues of the day, and no matter what’s going on around us at work, at home and at play, we’ve got the dedication to get our vote on and exercise one of the actions that’s bedrock to our free part of the country.

OK, so maybe we’re assigning a bit too much value to this whole ordeal but the fact still remains: We still need your vote to have a winner. So turn the page, do the homework on the new pics we’ve added, and don’t be afraid to push that button. We’ll be back next week to let ya’ll know who won.

It’s no secret that Crystal’s got it goin’ on when it comes to getting your attention. She’s cruised in her three victories, meaning she’s either in touch with all of you out there to sway your vote, or she’s just got that aura about her that translates very well through your computer monitor. Yeah, we’re joking. We know it’s all about the aura that comes through your monitor and that’s why we include links to Crystal’s Titans page and her NLL profile page. It’s not so you can find out what her favorite ice cream is, or what her favorite color is … it’s all about the pictures, man. And Crystal’s got plenty to see. So get to Crystal’s pages and if you haven’t already registered to be a part of the NLL Community, do it today so you can leave a message on her NLL page. It’s kinda like the MySpace comments thing and if you’re rockin’ that area of the cyber world, you know it never sucks to get a message from someone.

Well, it almost never sucks. But we know the lacrosse world is full of cool people who leave cool messages, right? Right. Truth be told, Crystal HAS been in touch with us here at NLLInsider.com and even mentioned the desire to do photo shoot, should she win this contest. She added some new photos to her NLL profile page, so you’d be wise to check it out before casting your vote if you haven’t done so already. And even if ya have, it’s not like you’re not wily enough to clear out those cookies and vote again.

OK … on to Ashley. This Chicago dancer has fared well enough in her early-round matchups as well. We’d like to think we have more depth than to attribute her success to those Playboy dreams of hers, but it can’t be discounted either. We haven’t been able to contact her to confirm the dream, so we’ll just have to take her word for it as mentioned on her Shamrox team page. No word yet, either, on whether our request for a business account is approved that’ll, you know, help us monitor the mag to see if Ashley’s dream job ever becomes a reality. Getting a dinner on the account is one thing. Getting a subscripton to that magazine is quite another. Still, we have faith that if Ashley’s dream job ever does come to fruition, we’ll hear about it one way or another.

Either way, Ashley’s got the same kinda thing working as Crystal on her NLL profile page. Log in today to let her know you voted for her. In fact, if you look closely enough, you may even recognize one of the posters to Ashley’s message wall. We won’t let the cat out of the bag, so you gotta go there yourself to check it. Make no mistake about this, though, Ashley is well aware of this contest and wants it. Bad. Like Crystal, she’s kinda been in touch and also provided some new photos.
