CLA Power Rankings: Week 6

As I called it in last week’s Power Rankings, the New Westminster Salmonbellies finally lost their first game of the year. It didn’t take Kreskin powers to realize that the law of averages would finally put them on the wrong end of one of those close battles and a game in Coquitlam is never easy. However that one loss is not enough to knock New West out of top spot in the Power rankings. I also said that last week would be a pivotal week for Peterborough. Well it could not have been any better for the Lakers who won all three of their games are now within a game of first. Amazing what a couple of players can do for your lineup when their names are John Grant and Shawn Evans (17 points in his first 2 games). It’s a busy week in the East as there are 9 games between now and Sunday. Kitchener plays 4 times. Brampton and Peterborough each play 3 times and St. Regis plays two road games. In the West it’s a much quieter week with only 6 games. Everyone plays twice except for New West and Burnaby who each play one game. The game to see in the East will be St. Regis at Brampton on Saturday while the biggy in the West will be Victoria at Burnaby.
Want some predictions? Ok. Brampton and Peterborough both go 3-0 on the weekend and Burnaby defeats Victoria who split their weekend games.
