NLL’s Swarm introduce new owner
The Minnesota Swarm have a new owner and he’s more than just a man with a lot of money. He’s man with a lot of money and a love for lacrosse.

That can make all the difference in the world for a sports franchise. It’s one thing to have an owner put money into a team. But when an owner puts his heart and soul into a game he loves, it means he’s concerned with more than just the bottom line and the accounting books. The Swarm and the National Lacrosse League officially introduced John Arlotta to Minnesota on Wednesday. His purchase of the team was unanimously approved by the NLL Board of Governor’s and Arlotta was quick to point out that not only is he eager to bring a Champion’s Cup to Minnesota, he wants to do it with local talent. So how do we know it’s not just lip service? Well, when you and your wife pledge $5 million to help build a lacrosse stadium at your alma mater (Notre Dame), it kinda proves the Swarm’s new owner takes his lacrosse seriously.
