Friday night playoff results

The Peterborough Lakers and Six Nations Arrows are now tied 2-2 in the series, after the Arrows triumphed 11-8 on Thursday and the Lakers bounced back to take the 12-9 win last night. Kyle Clancy and Mike Thomas had three goals apiece last night for the Lakers, while Josh Gillam had two goals and four helpers and Ryan Masters made 43 saves. As usual, Cody Jamieson led the Arrows with four goals and one assist. Game five will take place Sunday night at the Iroquois Lacrosse Arena, 7:00 pm EST.
After going down 2-0 in their series against the Orangeville Northmen, the Brampton Excelsiors exploded last night to take game three 8-4 at the Tony Rose. Cameron Flint scored two and helped out on three for Brampton, Garret Ince added two and two while the Brampton D limited Orangeville to 36 shots, 32 of which were turned away by Tyler Carlson. Adam Jones had two goals for Orangeville. Brampton will look to carry that momentum home with them for game four tonight at Memorial Arena, 8:00 pm EST.
The K-W Braves earned their first win of their series as well last night, putting a temporary end to the tight games that have dominated the Braves-A’s series for a 9-4 win. In front of the hometown crowd, the Braves busted out of the gate for a 6-1 lead in the first and maintained that five-goal gap for the rest of the game. Shawn Udema had three goals and one assist while Scott Tinning, Eric Benesch and Jon Thomson had one goal and two helpers each and Evan Kirk made a monstrous 52 saves. Joey Resetarits had two goals for the Athletics. Game four will be held Sunday night, 7:00 pm EST at the Waterloo MRC.
In addition to the Brampton-Orangeville game tonight, the Burlington Chiefs and Akwesasne Indians are headed for game four of their series today at 2:00 pm EST at Akwarnaro Arena. Burlington leads the series 2-1.

In the first game of the Ontario Senior B semi-finals last night the Wellington Aces dropped the Owen Sound Woodsmen 6-4. Game two will take place tonight in Owen Sound at 8:00 pm EST. The Norwood Nitro and Brooklin Merchants kick off their series tonight, 7:00 pm EST in Brooklin.
