Northmen advance to finals with sweep over Akwesasne

It took them until the final seven minutes of the game, but the Orangeville Northmen tied it up, grabbed the lead and held on when it mattered most to take a 6-5 win over the Akwesasne Indians in game four and advance to the Ontario finals.
Goaltender Nick Rose made a massive 48 saves in the win including 14 in the all-important third period. Adam Jones and Stephen Keogh scored two each, with one of Keogh’s markers coming at 13:15 in the third to tie things up at 5. Matt McLeod and Jeff Ivey added singles, with Ivey getting the game-winner with less than four minutes remaining in regulation. For the Indians, goaltender Torry Bigtree stopped 39 of 45, with 15 of those saves coming in a shut-out second period, and Kyle Buchanan scored one and assisted on three. The Orangeville Northmen will take on the winner of the Six Nations-St. Catharines series in the finals. The series is currently tied 1-1.
