With both the MSL Rookie of the Year and Coaches of the Year, there appears to be big things in store for the young and hungry Brooklin Redmen, but that’ll all have to wait until next year as they were eliminated last night by the Brampton Excelsiors four games to none in their best of seven semi-final. Game four ended 11-5. And over in the WLA, the Coquitlam Adanacs and New Westminster Salmonbellies both have a 2-0 lead in their semi-final match-ups after the Bellies dropped the Victoria Shamrocks 12-4 last night.

Dan Dawson scored three and assisted on one for the Excelsiors, Aaron Wilson and Blaine Manning had two and two apiece, and Brodie Merrill had one goal and three helpers. Shawn Williams had another big game for Brooklin, scoring three and assisting on one. The Brampton Excelsiors will take on the winners of the Peterborough-St. Regis series in the MSL finals. Peterborough has a chance to secure their spot in the championship tonight, as game four starts at 7:00 PM EST in St. Regis and the Lakers lead the series 3-0.

Ilija Gajic led New West with three goals and one assist, while Peter Morgan added two and three, and Jamie Floris had two and one. Matt Roik earned the win in net with 24 saves. Shamrocks scoring came from Kelly Hall, Lewis Ratcliff, Ryder Bateman and Luke Wiles. The two teams are back at it again tonight in game three of the best of seven, taking place in New West at 7:45 PM PST.
