Shamrox and Stealth press releases contain major differences in what was exchanged

Well, the confusion as to what exactly changed hands in the Anthonay Cosmo and Matt Roik deal is getting even more confusing, with the only constant being the two high profile keepers.
Shortly after the Stealth released a reportstating that the team had traded Cosmo to Chicago for Roik and the Shamrox’s first round pick in next week’s entry draft, the Chicago Shamrox posted a vastly different breakdown of the trade on their website.
The Shamrox are claiming, that outside of the two keepers exchanged, Chicago also gave up first round picks in the 2009 and 2010 entry draft, not the 2008 draft as the Stealth have announced.
Both reports differ slightly to the original report NLL Insider heard from various sources throughout the day yesterday.
The Stealth’s release, which had numerous factual errors within it, has also recently been posted on the team’s website.
Chicago Shamrox Head Coach and GM, Jamie Batley, said through the team’s website that, “Anthony Cosmo is one of the best goalies in the NLL and he will give us a chance to win every game. Matt Roik played well for us last year, but with his move to British Columbia, we were forced to trade him.”
Whether these fairly substantial differences have just been an error made by either team when putting together their press releases or a miscommunication between teams when finalizing the deal, stay tuned to NLL Insider for specifics on the trade in coming days.
