Adam Jones selected NLL Insider’s Playoff Performer of the Year

NLL Insider is proud to announce that Orangeville Northmen forward Adam Jones has been selected as our inaugural Playoff Performer of the Year.
The honour, which is NLL Insider’s final nod handed out during the 2008 junior season, is awarded to the player that we deem as having the best overall playoff performance, including both the player’s respective provincial post-season and the Minto Cup.
Jones, who due to an early season injury and participation at the U19 World Championships, wasn’t able to log many minutes for the Northmen during the regular season, but once the playoffs hit, the Canisius sophomore middie was the most dominating force anywhere in the country from start to finish.
Jones led the Northmen in post-season scoring and finished behind only Six Nations’ Cody Jamieson in the OLA post-season. His five game winning goals also led Ontario, while his 17 points during the Minto Cup tied him with Minto MVP, Stephen Keogh, for a tie for second in tournament scoring.
Jones was selected for the honour after the conclusion of the Orangeville’s dominating 9-4 win over the Victoria Shamrock on Saturday night in Calgary.
Jones was selected from a pool of finalists that were under consideration for the Playoff Performer of the Year nod. The other players included in our final selection process were; Jamieson, Keogh, Matt Flindell, Scott Lowe, Matt McLeod, Alex Gajic, Nick Rose, Cory Conway, Mike Pires and Cayle Ratcliff.
