Championship Lacrosse : Czech Style…

October is the quietest month of the year for North American Box lacrosse but in the Czech Republic the Lacrosse is front and center with the National Box Lacrosse League at their season’s climax. The 5th and deciding game in the Czech Box Lacrosse League will be played on October 31st  2:00 pm eastern time.  You can watch the game live at  www.net-tv.cz/lakros  and it will also be recorded and posted a few days later.

The championship is between LCC Radotin and SK Lacrosse Jizni Mesto. Lindsay and Jamie Plunkett and Jordan West-Pratt all play for Jizni Mesto while American Jonathon Munk, who played for the Czech National team in the World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, plays for Radotin.  All the other players are pure Czech.  Its only a matter of time before some Czech play in the NLL.  Remember  the name Paul Došlý.

Czech  out their website. Google will let you translate it to English. It obviously loses a lot in the translation but you might get the gist of it.

In other world lacrosse news, its now official that the next World Indoor Lacrosse Championships will be in Prague in May 2011.
