Dave Stilley’s rights traded to New York, back in NLL after year hiatus

The Colorado Mammoth have dealt the playing rights to previously retired defender Dave Stilley to the New York Titans in a move made between the two teams earlier today.
Stilley had hung up his gloves following the 2007 season due to work and family commitments, but after moving back east recently, the opportunity to join the Titans presented itself.
The Mammoth pickup a conditional 2009 draft pick in exchange for Stilley, who Colorado GM Steve Govett described as a “heart and soul guy” and the glue that helped keep the Mammoth together during Stilley’s five years in Denver.
This is the second transaction this off-season that sees Colorado deal a previously inactive player, the first of course being Gary Gait’s move to the Rochester Knighthawks.
