Knighthawks sign Abrams

Word outta Rochester and the National Lacrosse League is that the Knighthawks have signed defenseman Marshall Abrams.

It’s a one-year deal for the veteran, who will be back for an eighth season, all of which have been played for the Knighthawks. The signing, reported Tuesday by the Democrat and Chronicle in Rochester, helps the Knighthawks shore up a defensive corps that includes the recent addition of general manager Regy Thorpe. Abrams gives the Birds even more speed outta the back end along with a solid stick to keep the loosies away from other teams. It adds more stability to a unit that lost Jack Reid and Stephen Hoar in the off-season. There’s been no comment from the team as of yet, and the league’s announcement so far is nothing more than an official listing on the transactions page. The Knighthawks released David Brown to make room for Abrams. Stay tuned to NLLInsider.com and we’ll keep ya updated with details as we find ‘em.
