John Tavares ‘Junior’ credits lacrosse yet again after insane goal against Slovaks

In the lead up to the World Junior Hockey Championships, Oshawa Generals phenom, John Tavares, has been giving some serious props to the game he had to leave behind in order to pursue his hockey dreams.
That game of course being lacrosse, which Tavares last played competitively as a Junior with the Mississauga Tomahawks in 2006 (63 goals and 69 assists in two summers playing Junior A lacrosse as an underager).
But last night, while the Canadians picked apart Slovakia to a tune of 7-0 in Hamilton in pre-tourney action, Tavares, nephew to Buffalo Bandits legend John Tavares (for those of you living under a rock in some foreign country like Quebec or Kazakhstan), gave box lacrosse yet another smiley face while talking to mainstream media, telling reporters last night, after scoring an insane mid-air juggling act against the Slovaks, “Some of that comes from playing lacrosse and working after practice fooling round. Sometimes those things come into play and help you out. It was a nice one to score. The guys will be bugging me about that one for a few days.”
Check out the goal below, but make sure to have some Kleenex by you (yes Jenner you can use the ones you already have by your computer), cuz you’ll need something to clean up all that drool left behind after JT Jr. smacks it in the back of the cage.
