Titans sign Casey Powell
The New York Titans just added one more gun to their lineup by signing last year’s team leader in scoring, Casey Powell.

Titans coach Ed Comeau confirmed early Friday afternoon that Powell is signed and will play in Saturday night’s National Lacrosse League’s Florida Lacrosse Cup against the Toronto Rock. It’s the season-opener for both teams, and Powell’s scoring ability and floor vision, a vital part of New York’s success last season, will be a welcome addition to New York’s bench. “”He’s signed and will play,” said Comeau. “There’s an agreement. Let’s put it that way.” In other words, there’s still some details to sort, but the bottom line is that CP’s gonna be dressed in the orange and blue and “we’re excited, he’s excited and the team’s excited,” said Comeau. “We’re just happy to get our focus on the first game.”
The Titans still will be without defender Rory Smith, who’s serving a two-game suspension that came down at the end of last season.
