NLL Girl of the Week: Gina
Trips to the dentist are fun, right? Of course they are. Well, maybe if Gina is your dental hygenist.

If she’s not cleaning your teeth somewhere in Massachusetts, you’ll find her on the rug of TD Banknorth Garden as part of the dance team for the Boston Blazers. She’s this week’s National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week and she’s got the pearly whites to prove it. She’s a first-year dancer for the Sparks but then again, aren’t all the dancers? No matter, she says. She’s loving life as a dancer for the return of the team to the league, using dancing skills she’s worked on since the age of 2.
Read on to find out more about Gina.
The East Longmeadow, Mass., native is a student by day at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences all while juggling time as the reigning Miss Western Massachusetts. Oral hygiene wasn’t her first choice for a career, but it’s a calling that’s been tugging at her so she’s following the voice.

“It was something I was always interested in,” she told NLL.com. “It wasn’t my major at first, but I worked as a dental assistant to get a feel for it. It’s definitely my calling.” If she’s not dancing or cleaning teeth or keeping up with her studies, she might be watching her favorite TV shows, which include The Office and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. She might even be watching her favorite movie, Breakfast At Tiffany’s, according to her NLL profile page. And if she’s eating while watching, you can bet there’s a bit of cheese on whatever she’s eating. Mozzarella. “I put it on everything, but I usually eat it straight from the bag,” she says on her Sparks profile page.
