Dream matchup 3: Lads vs. Burke
Boom, boom. Out go the lights for Scott Evans after the second installment of our Dream Matchups.

The Knighthawks forward was dropped by Jamie Hackel (thanks to astute posters over at WingsZone for the proper spelling of dude’s last name) by a vote of 312-259 and is gonna advance. Just who Hackel’s gonna roll with next remains to be seen because before that, we’ve got a real heavyweight battle to figure out. The Week 3 bout? Current Toronto Rock big man Dan Ladouceur against former Rochester Knighthawks enforcer Tim Burke. Yeah, big-time brawl here. Neither one of these fellas is afraid to drop ‘em at anytime and both of these fellas believe they’re the biggest, baddest thing to strut their stuff on the floor. What more do you need to set up a big-time brawl that’d have fans screaming their domes off with each jab and punch?
So who wins? Read on to read more and find the poll where you can cast your vote.
Burke wasn’t in the National Lacrosse League for very long but it’s not like he was brought in to score goals. At 6-foot-5, 230 pounds, the Peterborough boy was there to send messages. And he did that for the Rochester Knighthawks for two seasons before he was traded away in 2004. How could he not? Dude’s a big one, as they say, and whatever they feed those boys for breakfast in Peterborough really does make ya wonder.
As for Lads, he’s not lacking when it comes to size, either. At 6-6, 245 pounds, you’re gonna feel that haymaker when it connects. The challenge in duking it out with Lads is his incredible reach. Anytime he’s brawling, you can’t help but notice those long arms of his holding the other guy at bay by the scruff off his sweater while he brings the free fist around to punish. And punish, it does. Very few mess with the Toronto scorers when Lads is roaming the floor, that’s for sure.
As a side note here, we’ve received requests to include video of these fighters. We’d love to do that and will whenever we can. Problem is, there isn’t video of each and every fighter we’ve selected for this tournament and we don’t wanna be taint the voting process by having video of one guy and not the other. Make sense? Thought so. In any case, here’s the poll to cast your vote to decide just who would come out on top of this big battle:
