The Money Ballers: Week 7

This was not a good weekend for The Money Ballers.
With only four games on the docket, half of them were clutch nightmares as the Philadelphia Wings struggled to get even four goals on the board and the Toronto Rock did their best punching bag impersonation as Mark Steenhuis ran all over ‘em to break two single game point records.
Neither Philly or Toronto even had a player register a point in The Money Ballers this week.
The other two games however, especially the western clash, had some guys really step things up.
Brian Langtry, who also nabbed a spot on our All-Insider Team, had some huge goals for the surging Mammoth as they edged out the previously unbeaten Roughnecks. Of Colorado’s four wins this year, Langtry has assisted on the game winner in three of those W’s.
And although Casey Powell opened up his lead at the top of the charts, it was Brenden Mundorf who again had his stick on a bunch of momentum shifters, including the game winner on Jordan’s Hall’s third period clincher.
Although he’s still outta the leaderboard picture by a good amount of points, last week’s ultimate clutch scorer, Kyle Ross, did end up assisting on the game winning goal in Boston’s low scoring victory over the Wings. Ross currently has more points in The Money Ballers over such names as Colin Doyle, Andy Secore and Craig Point, three ball players that killed the clutch charts last year.
