Tuts’ World Famous Lacrosse Trivia: Round 3

After a break from Tuts’ World Famous Lacrosse Trivia last week, we’re back with ten questions that will make you laugh, cry and potentially force you to re-examine your very existence.
Couple questions this week were donated by current NLL coaches or other staffers, while the rest were rattled outta my dome as usual.
So after the jump, check out this week’s questions and make sure to hit up the boards with your answers. Then on Friday, we’ll break it all down for you and crown our weekly trivia king.
1. Who was the leading regular season scorer (goals and assists) of the NLL in 1991? Bonus: What current NLL coach led his team in scoring in that league in the same year?
2. When former New York Saint Gee Nash was thrown out (ejected) of a tied game with under two minutes remaining at Albany in 2001, who came in to play his only career NLL minutes in goal that day? Bonus: Who was the Saints’ regular backup, who was unavailable due to being involved in a car accident on his way to the game?
3. Who where the co-coaches that took over the Columbus Landsharks’ coaching duties after Ron Roy resigned from his role with the team in 2002? Bonus: To start the 2002 season, what other coaches served in their first ever NLL head coaching roles with teams that year?
4. What player(s) on the current Calgary Roughnecks’ roster won defensive player of the year honors during his Jr. A lacrosse career?
5. Who were the three Ontario based Jr. B teams that played in the semi-finals of the 2002 Founders Cup? Bonus: Who led each of those three teams in scoring that summer (regular season and post-season scoring combined)? Extra Bonus: Who was the regular backstop for the Founders Cup champions that same season and who was named the tournament’s MVP?
6. When combining NLL and Sr. A (WLA & MSL) player’s 2008 regular season point totals, who were the ten highest scoring players last year (IE. John Grant’s 2008 regular season point totals from both Rochester and Peterborough combined)? Each correct answer receives one point, but every new answer must be submitted as a new post (no updating posts) on the forum.
7. What player(s) has won the most Mann Cups over the past five years (2004-2008)? Bonus: What player(s) has won the most NLL Champion’s Cups over the past five years? Point awarded for each correct answer.
8. Who scored the game winning goal in the 1999 NLL All-Star Game? Bonus: What goaltender did he beat on that goal to win the game?
9. How many combined Mann Cup wins do the current (as of Friday, February 27, 2009) head coaches of all 12 NLL teams own as players (not including Cup wins as coaches or any other non-playing staff)? Bonus: How many Minto Cup wins do the current NLL head coaches own?
10. Who is the only Les Bartley Award winner (2001-2008, coach of the year) to actually have his team’s regular season record decline from the season previous compared to the year he won the award? Bonus: What coach of the year winner’s team had the biggest regular season record improvement from the year he won versus the season previous?
Again, hit the boards over the next week with your answers, and then Friday we’ll reveal the correct answers, best guessers and leaders since Round 1.
