National Lacrosse League Player of the Week: It’s Shawn Evans of the Knighthawks

Lord knows the Rochester Knighthawks have suffered plenty this season, and Lord knows not too many tears outside of Rochester have been shed. After an 0-4 start, though, the Knighthawks have won two straight and appear to be on track with plenty of thanks to forward Shawn Evans, this week’s National Lacrosse League Offensive and Overall Player of the Week. His 14 points (7 goals, 7 assists) led the way in an 18-10 win over Toronto. Joining Evans for honors this week is Portland goalie Matt Disher, Boston transition player Kyle Ross and Minnesota rookie Kevin Buchanan.
