Although nothing has officially been announced by either team or the National Lacrosse League, sources close to the league have confirmed with NLL Insider that a high profile rumoured deal involving the Colorado Mammoth and Toronto Rock, likely involving the recently traded Curtis Palidwor and injured Gee Nash, is off the table.

Palidwor, who approximately two weeks ago was dealt to the Rock from Colorado for Toronto’s 2010 second round entry draft pick, was supposedly swapped back to the Mammoth for the exact same draft pick at some point on Wednesday.

Sources close to both teams tell NLL Insider that Nash, who was placed on the Mammoth’s injured reserve list back on January 27th to nurse a nagging long term injury, supposedly failed a physical examination the deal hinged on.

As of Thursday afternoon, both clubs currently have Palidwor listed on their team website’s roster page.

Nash recently told Mammoth fans, when questioned about his injury on the team’s message board, that, “I don’t want to answer specific questions as to the severity of my injury only to say it is enough that I need a break from competing with my teammates over the next few weeks to properly heel so that I can come back healthy and help my team win games in whatever role that may be.”

Palidwor, who played in relief of Bob Watson against Rochester in his only minutes played with Toronto, will likely once against play behind the Mammoth’s current starting keeper, Andrew Leyshon, potentially as early as this weekend against the San Jose Stealth.
