National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week: Matchup 4 is Vanessa vs. Kelly

Philly represent! Fans of the National Lacrosse League’s Philadelphia Wings and their dance team turned out in force to support dancer Emily, who defeats Jennifer of the San Jose Stealth by a vote count of 737-581 in the third matchup of our Girls of the Week contest. We’re kinda surprised, to be honest, since Jennifer is pretty much the only NLL Girl of the Week to draw some attention over at WingsZone. But, it is what it is and forward we go to Portland’s Vanessa vs. Edmonton’s Kelly.

Vanessa’s a rookie dancer, at least with the Portland squad. She and her mates have plenty to cheer about this season as the LumberJax make a solid run in the West Division. And Lord knows she and her mates will be busy enough in the final four weeks of the season since a scheduling quirk has the Jax playing seven games in those four weeks! Time to carb up and get some energy, eh? Dancers are rarely without energy, no matter what the scoreboard says, and considering Vanessa was not shy in admitting she’d have trouble living without chocolate, you gotta figure that sugar rush is just one bite of candy away. So can the Portland fans turn out en force like the Philly fans did for their dancer? We suppose that remains to be seen.

Just north a bit is Kelly, who is in her second year with the Edmonton Crush. Now the Rush have fallen on hard times in the win column and the playoffs appear to be a long shot, but you know that won’t stop Kelly and her mates from cheering and dancing their hearts out. So you’re on the fence on who to vote here? Maybe Kelly can put that Educational Psychology degree to work and tell you WHY you’re going to vote for her and at the end of the day, you won’t even know why you voted for her. Tricky stuff, that mind and brain realm. Chances are she’ll handle whatever the voting results turn out to be, because she’s busy enough tutoring kids and organizing charitable events. The dancing thing is just a release from all the work-week tension and when she’s not helping the kids, she might be out sailing or doing a crossword puzzle.

Make up your mind yet? Better hurry up and vote because your boss at work is just around the corner and you don’t wanna get busted at work, do ya?

What type of celebrations would you like to see after big NLL goals?
