National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week: It’s Angela of the Colorado Mammoth

If Angela looks familiar to you, she should. She’s the newest National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week and she was tabbed for the honor once last year, too. So she’s no stranger here, but we’ll break it down for you again since there seems to be so much interest in these posts. And don’t for a second pretend you’re not interested. We’ve got the stats to back it up. So call up that extra browser window so you can hide this one quickly if the boss comes around the corner.

Angela and her mates on the Wooly Bunch certainly have plenty to cheer about with the Mammoth. It’s been a trying season in Denver with a ton of injuries and no, that’s not what they’re cheering. What they’re cheering is the team’s ability to fight through the injuries and remain one of the league’s best as it battles for a playoff spot in the West Division. The Mammoth are right there, though, and this weekend’s gonna rock in Denver as Angela and the Mammoth get ready for Blackout Night at the Pepsi Center. The Rochester Knighthawks are in town for the Friday night game, and are excited to do their part to help the Mammoth win and continue that playoff push.

“The best part about performing with the Wild Bunch and for the Colorado Mammoth has to be the fans,” Angela tells NLL.com. “They are the best in the NLL and it is an amazing experience to have their support every single time we step onto the field. They are loud and crazy, and we love it!”

Angela is a senior at the University of Colorado, pursuing a degree in Business Accounting. And when she’s not catching up on her studies or dancing with the Wooly Bunch, as she has for four seasons now, she’s out there doing some good for the community. She tells NLL.com that she most recently participated in the Run the Republic event, which involving running up 53 flights of stairs to help raise funds for lung health.

So there ya have it. Angela. The newest National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week. Keep your eyes peeled ’cause you’re gonna see her again down the road in our weekly contest between the girls where you get to vote for your favorites. Speaking of which … here’s the latest installment. Check it.
