The Salmonbellies Seats for Soldiers Game, plus the links

Like they did last fall when they came together with the lacrosse community through Operation Salmonbellies Lacrosse (shipping lacrosse gear and equipment to soldiers stationed in Kandahar), the New Westminster Salmonbellies are once again pulling their resources together to help out the troops, this time through their newly announced Seats for Soldiers campaign.

On Thursday July 16th, when the Bellies lock horns with seemingly their greatest threat to their WLA crown, the Victoria Shamrocks, they’ll also be paying tribute to the Men and Women of the Canadian Armed Forces and their Families for all their sacrifices they have made for us World Wide.

All Armed Forces and their Families, past and present, as well as all members of the Canadian Legion will be admitted free of charge to the game on the 16th, which kicks off at 7:45PM.

Part of the proceeds from the game between the Bellies and Shamrocks will be donated to the Military Family Resource Center.

New West currently sits second in the WLA, three points behind the 9-1 Shamrocks, and host the Coquitlam Adanacs this coming Thursday.
