Doyle on the move to Washington; lacrosse links

The transient nature of the life of an NLL star is apparent in an article in The Record, which catches up with Stealth star Colin Doyle about his family’s move to Washington with the team after its move from San Jose.

“I guess it’s goodbye sunshine,” said the Kitchener native, who slogged through a full agenda off the floor last season, conducting lacrosse clinics for school kids and their gym teachers in San Jose.

Doyle, to his credit, seems fine with the move, which will also affect his wife and young daughter, as long as he can keep doing what he loves. “I’m happy as long as they find me lots to do out there.”

MLL Mid-Season: IL/ESPN analyst Quint Kessenich penned an article looking at the MLL at its All-Star Break, including a look at the Toronto franchise that has slipped after a strong start to 4-5. The Nationals, he believes, lack the midfield athleticism to get the ball to their world-class finishers, which has led to their current four-game losing streak.
