Geoff Snider’s West Coast 150 Lacrosse Camp Starts Monday

I was exchanging text messages today with Geoff Snider about his West Coast 150 camp, which starts Monday at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West — and it led to a solid idea. The camp features Snider, Devan and Taylor Wray, Shawn Nadelen, Mike Pressler, Greg Raymond, Dan Paccione, Jim Fritz, Bart Sullivan and Brendan Burke, among others. It’s designed to prepare players for NCAA lacrosse: great idea and definitely worth checking out next week. But on to that idea.

I was bragging to Geoff that I had just taken the deciding Game 7 in Saturday Street Hockey (after being down 2-0 I might add) — or deck hockey or road hockey, depending on where you live — and he suggested Inside Lacrosse get an all-star lacrosse street hockey game going for charity. Maybe Americans versus Canadians?

Having played many times against Boston Blazers coach Tom Ryan, I can say he’d be a strong addition to the American side…

Ironically I’ve been talking to Kyle Harrison and Chazz Woodson and some other guys about doing the same thing for basketball.

Both great ideas. Maybe we can combine the two and have some sort of All-Star Challenge, like the NFL used to do back in the day.

Stay tuned, and check out Snider’s camp next week.
