MLL Is Back in Action

Fresh off the momentum generated by its All-Star Game on Thursday night — a game in which Brodie Merrill scored the winning goal in overtime — there’s a full slate of MLL games on Saturday night.

Merrill’s Toronto team faces Long Island at 8 p.m. (EST). Also, Denver travels to face Washington in Annapolis, Md., at 7 p.m.; and Chicago plays at Boston, also at 7 p.m.

Toronto (4-5) is a half-game ahead of Washington for the final playoff spot. However, the Nationals hold the tie-breaker.

Merrill was not the only Toronto player who fared well at the All-Star Game on Thursday in Denver. Merrick Thomson scored three goals for the ‘Young Guns’ team and Joe Walters had three goals for the winning ‘Old School’ team.
