The Toronto Rock continue their pretty large scale rebuild, yesterday dealing their third round pick in this year’s draft to the Edmonton Rush for forward Mike Hominuck.

Hominuck, who now finds himself on his fifth team in the NLL since breaking into the league in ‘04 with the Buffalo Bandits, currently suits up for the Brampton Excelsiors in the MSL, a team coached by newly named Rock brass Troy Cordingley and Terry Sanderson. Hominuck has spent the last four summers in Brampton, winning a Mann Cup with the team last season.

The Rock and Rush had made a move earlier this off-season, Toronto sending Mark Scherman to Edmonton in exchange for Dave Cutten.

There have been widespread rumours behind the scenes that there could potentially be an even larger capacity move on the verge of taking place between the two Canadian rivals, but at this point however, those rumoured deals do not appear to be happening anytime soon.

Stay tuned to NLL Insider for more on what is turning out to be a very active NLL off-season.
