Accursi, McCready franchised by Buffalo, plus the links

Some breaking news onf the NLL franchise player front. According to the Buffalo News, The Bandits have tagged forward Mike Accursi and transition player Pat McCready as their franchise players for the 2010 season:

Accursi was third on the team in goals (30) and points (60) last season. He is third on Buffalo’s all-time list in goals and points.

McCready missed the first seven games last season with a shoulder injury, but returned to score 16 points with 55 loose balls in nine games. He has played eight seasons in Buffalo.

McCready and Accursi join John Grant Jr., who was tagged by Rochester in July, among franchise players.
