Jordan Sundher to lead Victoria Junior ‘A’ Lacrosse as new Head Coach
Jordan Sundher has been named the new head coach of the Victoria Junior ‘A’ Shamrocks lacrosse club.
The B.C. native spent 10 years coaching Juan de Fuca’s Bantam ‘A’ program before joining the Shamrocks’ Senior ‘A’ coaching staff this season when a hip problem caused him to miss the season as a player.
Sundher is a two-time Mann Cup winner and past captain of the Victoria Senior ‘A’ Shamrocks. He has worn green and white throughout his boxla career, twice winning the Junior ‘A’ Shamrocks’ Sportsman of the Year Award.
Jordan also played three years in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) with stints for the Calgary Roughnecks and Edmonton Rush.
In September, the Shamrocks announced that Danny Green had stepped down from his roles with the club. Green had coached the past three seasons in Victoria and helped led the ‘Rocks to a Minto Cup final in 2008.
“I am very excited to take on the role of head coach for the Junior Shamrocks and I am looking forward to working towards our goal of winning the Minto Cup,” added Sundher.
