NLL Girl of the Week: It’s Amanda vs. Jennifer

East Coast vs. West Coast, kinda sorta. Amanda comes to us from the Buffalo Bandits and Jennifer comes to us from the Stealth, kinda. Jennifer was part of the San Jose Stealth dance team before the franchise moved its operations to Everett, Wash., so her days with the Stealth team are done. But she beat still was featured as a National Lacrosse League Girl of the Week back in June, so she just beat the deadline to be a part of this contest. Kinda like a buzzer-beating shot. That said, let’s learn a bit more about Jennifer and Amanda.

Amanda’s hoping this will be her third season with the Bandettes and with two years experience already, that’s gotta be a plus as she pursues a spot with the dance team. And besides, like we pointed out last week, she’s one of the few NLL dancing girls who hasn’t been dancing since she first started walking. Instead, she’s been relying on her 13 years of competitive gymnastics and time spent on cheerleading squads in high school and Canisius College to make her a part of the Bandettes squad. She’s busy pursuing a couple of Master’s degrees with the eventual of becoming an Athletic Director. Lofty goals, for sure, but let’s see what you NLL fans have to say about her as she competes for an NLL Girl of the Week off-season title. If you want to know more about her, you can rely on all the words you just read, or you can click on this link to check out the original story that appeared at NLL.com introducing her to all of us.

Now as we pointed out, Jennifer’s dancing days with the Stealth are pretty much done. But she’s a contestant here by virtue of the NLL dubbing her a Girl of the Week back in June. She seemed to have so much fun dancing for the Stealth in San Jose, so it’s kinda sad to see her career with the Stealth team end by no choice of her own. It’s almost as if she were being teased. She came out for the team last year and made her debut, only to see the team move. But for Jennifer, it goes way beyond dancing and lacrosse. At least from this point of view, her admiration for motorcycles is enough to score huge points with us. And while motorcycles are exactly our game here, we’ve long had a fascination with motors and speed, so when we learned about Jennifer’s off-field passion for 2007 Honda CRF 150r and a 2002 CR 80, well, we about jumped for joy. So as with Amanda, if you wanna learn more about Jennifer, go ahead and click this link to see what the original NLL story had to say.

Either way, when you’re done reading, we’re gonna need your vote to see who advances to the next round of this little contest. So go ahead, get yer vote on.
